Founded in 1997, GTx, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development and commercialization of therapeutic products related to men's health. The company's drug discovery and development programs are focused on small molecules that selectively target nuclear hormone receptors for estrogens and androgens. These nuclear hormone receptors are among the best-understood receptor systems, and pharmaceuticals have been developed to either stimulate or block these receptors for over 50 years.

To this end, we are actively recruiting for the following position:

Sales Data Analyst

Position Summary:

This position will support sales strategy by providing critical data analysis and reporting for GTx products. The Sales Data Analyst will interact closely with the GTx sales force and Sales Operations. The Sales Data Analyst is responsible for providing sales reports and analysis including sales trends and sales rep productivity. This position requires the ability to insightfully and accurately evaluate the data as well as communicate it appropriately.

Core Responsibilities:

Data analysis & reporting

• Develop and maintain standardized reporting systems for GTx field personnel that provide metrics relating to competitors, physicians, patients, and/or payers
• Assist in the decisions for data purchases and data vendor selections (i.e. IMS Health, Verispan); s tay abreast of changes to current data sources and potential new data sources; educate internal customers on uses and caveats of the data
• Provide data to support sales force optimizations and territory alignments
• Perform analysis to measure effectiveness and profitability of sales initiatives
• Support additional ad-hoc requests for sales data and analysis

Forecasting

• May assist in the collection of all relevant data, assumptions, supporting documentation, and other input to create sales forecasts 
• Challenge the assumptions used by sales and marketing to create their brand forecasts 

Preferred Qualifications:

Individual must be self-starting with exceptional analytical, time management skills, and communication skills. Must have prior experience that demonstrates proven expertise with the technical skills required to perform analysis using MS Office tools and extracting and manipulating data using databases and software.

Technical abilities

Proficiency with MS Excel is required to manipulate and analyze data

Knowledge of/familiarity with MS Access and MS PowerPoint is strongly desired

Incredible attention to detail to minimize potential for errors

Ability to analyze and represent information needs to IT professionals

Education

Candidates should have a 4 year degree and 1-2 years experience in a similar analytical role OR a HS diploma with at least 5 years experience in a similar analytical role.
