Founded in 1997, GTx, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development and commercialization of therapeutic products related to men's health. The company's drug discovery and development programs are focused on small molecules that selectively target nuclear hormone receptors for estrogens and androgens. These nuclear hormone receptors are among the best-understood receptor systems, and pharmaceuticals have been developed to either stimulate or block these receptors for over 50 years.

To this end, we are actively recruiting for the following position:

Business Development and Financial Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Development
    • Assist Director of Business Development, Licensing and Financial
      Analysis in analyzing both in-licensing and out-licensing opportunities
      including developing financial models and discounted cash flow analysis
    • Coordinating due diligence efforts
    • Assist in closing of transactions
    • Analyzing and keeping track of acquisitions licensing arrangement and
      other deals in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Financial Analysis
    • Monthly 24 Month Financial Forecast Report
      • Current year and 24 month forecasted P&L
      • Current year and 24 month forecasted EPS
      • Current year and 24 month forecasted cash flow
      • Current year and 24 month forecasted capital expenditures
      • Current year and 24 month forecasted working capital
      • Current year and 24 month forecast revenue from all products and
        all collaborations
    • Develop and update long term company forecast (5 to 10 years)
    • Monthly ad-hoc financial analysis to support operating units, such as
      product pricing analysis, product gross margin analysis
  • Budget
    • Assist Director of Business Development, Licensing and Financial
      Analysis in budgeting process including development of company budget
      and working with accounting liaisons to develop accurate departmental
      budgets
    • Evaluate new budgeting and forecasting software

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to make presentations to Senior
    Management
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain relationships across departments
  • PC skill proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in financial systems

EducationlExperience Required:

B or BA required, advanced degree, MBA preferred
Two to five years of experience in business development, budgeting and financial analysis
